
I specialise in working with couples, which is incredibly rewarding, I help the couple navigate through their problems, it isn't about having judgement on who's right or whos wrong, its about neutral ground to work from. Blending my core therapy of person centred and narative therapy to bring a deeply respectful approach. Instead of coming in diagnosing whats broken , I create a safe space where the couple can untangle their shared and competing stories. The two therapies gives a perfect toolkit to externalize the couples issues.
By midlife we start to ask ourselves many questions, and experience shifts feeling stuck in a career which may no longer align with our values,or family leaving home, or even change in our plan of where we thought we wanted to be. This can include longterm marriage or relationships that no longer fulfil you. Midlife brings significant change physically and mentally, looking at our identity and moving old patterns which make us feel stuck. The midlife MOT focuses on what we are able to change and finding yourself again.
Coaching focuses on where you are right now and bridges the gap to where you want to be. A coach is like having a accountability partner, reporting your progress to someone else helps keep that goal and focus in mind. Focusing on behavioral patterns we cannot see ourselves and our own narratives to what holds you back. My coaching sessions help you to discover your own capacity to solve the problem.
Counselling and Coaching is no longer only a face to face session. Digital transformation has made it so much easier for personal development to be more accessible and flexible than ever before. I offer video calls, voice calls and email sessions, and face to face on request. This eliminates travel time fitting into any busy schedules. Clients often feel safer opening up in their own space.
Depending what you require, would depend on the cost, when we talk about session choice, this will clarify, session times and cost;
Counselling sessions 50 mins to 90 minutes.
Couples - 90 minutes.
Coaching - 50 minutes to 90 minutes.
Counselling explores the past to help your present, and coaching looks at your present to help you plan your future. No matter what you are looking for sessions would fit around you!
